For Full and Perspective Papers

To accommodate attendees in different time zones, your paper will be presented in TWO different sessions (i.e., different times and possibly different dates). We are close to finalizing the schedule and follow-up information on the assignment of papers to sessions will be available here in due course. You will be assigned to sessions that are (hopefully) convenient for you and your co-authors. We are also trying to form sessions that are thematically coherent (if possible).
Your paper will be presented via a video presentation (see below). We will play your video presentation during the session. After each video presentation, there will be a discussion (i.e., Q&A) period. We expect at least one co-author in your paper to be present during each session to answer questions.

If your paper is assigned to a session for which no co-author can attend, please contact the PC chairs and we will try to adjust the schedule (if possible).
We ask that you please prepare ONE video presentation for your paper. The video should be no more than 8 minutes long. This is a strict requirement. Please upload your video using the link below. The deadline is March 4th (AoE). Your video should be in MP4 format.

Similar to CHIIR 2021, your video will be made publicly available on an ACM-sponsored YouTube channel.
We plan to make the videos available before the conference for those who wish to view them in advance. However, as previously mentioned, your video will be played during the session.

For Short Papers/Poster Presentations

All short papers will be presented virtually during one or two (your choice) 1-hour poster sessions. In addition to this, there will be 4 poster boaster sessions for you to briefly promote your work to the other attendees.

Poster Session

CHIIR 2022 uses Gather to host virtual poster sessions. Two poster sessions are planned to be held on Day 3, 16 March UTC. You must present to at least one of them, or both. The virtual room will remain open at all times, so you can also arrange to meet other attendees there at an agreed time during the conference.
Poster Boaster Session

There are 4 poster boaster sessions planned. To ensure your poster gets as much publicity as possible, we will be using a poster teaser for each poster. This teaser should be in the form of a video of 1 minute or less.
Please upload the following files via Google Form:
- * (mandatory) 1-minute presentation video (.mp4) - This file is used as in the poster boaster sessions. The video should be MP4 format and not be no more than 1 minute long.
- * (mandatory) Poster image (.png or .jpg) - This file is used as the poster in Gather. Landscape is preferable. The image size should be larger than 1000px (width) x 600px (height). Maximum file size is 3MB. Do not use a transparent background.
- * (mandatory) Poster in PDF (.pdf) - This file is used for a backup purpose in case the above image does not work in Gather.
- * (optional) Poster preview image (.png or .jpg) - It is used for a preview image when a user walks nearby your poster. Recommended size should be 500px x 300px.
Upload your files via Google Form by 11:59 PM 4 March 2022 AoE time.
