Robots, Artificial Intelligence and Humans

Robots can take heavy, monotonous and dangerous work out of people’s hands: in laboratories and factory halls as well as in the care of the elderly and the sick. Industrial robots have long been part of everyday life and are constantly being further developed for Industry 4.0.

Overlooking the increasing possibilities of artificial intelligence, the interaction between humans and robots is moving further into focus. Here, people will no longer make decisions alone.

The lecture addresses the social and ethical questions raised by the use of such technologies.
