Digital Sustainability with Artificial Intelligence

New AI models and their applications such as ChatGPT are currently experiencing a great deal of hype and will continue to form an important basis for the digital transformation in the future. However, today’s AI developments are often driven by the private sector, which prevents transparency and commercial reuse. This lecture shows current examples and explains how digital sustainability and digital public goods tackle this problem.

In cooperation with the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation and the Faculty of Informatics at the TU of Vienna, the Department of Computer Science at the CIT School at the TU of Munich is therefore organizing a public lecture series on the subject of digitization. This year, the topic of digital sustainability will be viewed from the perspective of different disciplines in order to achieve a comprehensive and interdisciplinary understanding of the matter.
