Sharing Makes the World Go Round – How do we build a data ecosystem for future mobility in Germany?

Panel discussion and launch of the Emmett Network

A new era is beginning in the mobility industry: Many data-driven mobility services are about to be ready for the market. New technologies are developing rapidly, but they also pose challenges for the industry. E-cars depend on a charging infrastructure, networked and autonomous driving requires countless cameras, sensors, servers and real-time communication. The political and legal requirements are just as high, especially when it comes to data exchange and usage.

Individual providers or municipalities alone will not be able to master these challenges. Cooperation, joint development and the exchange of experiences are therefore the order of the day. This also applies to data: No service, no matter how intelligent, works without smooth exchange. However, companies in the mobility sector are not alone with this task: Science, politics and civil society are also in demand.

Where many actors come together, questions inevitably arise:

  • How can the cooperation best succeed?
  • What role does (open) data play in this context?
  • How do we really involve all stakeholders in this process?

These and other questions will be debated with experts during the panel discussion.
