AIR – KICK-OFF WORKING GROUP ON CAUSAL INFERENCE

Last year, at the kick-off event of the network AIR (Artificial Intelligence Regensburg), the idea for a working group was given. At the start of the new year, the first meeting of the Causal Inference Working Group will take place on January 28, 2021.

Daniel Grünbaum introduces the topic with a short lecture on the topic “Difference between causal inference and traditional statistical methods”. Afterwards there is time for discussions and organizational questions to clarify the dates for subsequent meetings.

What is AIR?

AIR is the abbreviation for “Artificial Intelligence Regensburg” and is an initiative coordinated by the City of Regensburg to bundle and strengthen activities in the field of AI and data science in the area around Regensburg. The AIR initiative aims to develop the location “Regensburg” into a hotspot for the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI). A leading ecosystem of industrial companies, SMEs, service providers, startups, universities, research institutions, clusters, associations and the City of Regensburg is to be created along the entire data value chain (collect, store, process, use).
