Since 2009 she has been a professor at the Chair for General Psychology at the University of Regensburg. In her research, Ms. Dreisbach deals with control processes. Power control enables people to think and act dynamically and to change goals and tasks.

Melanie Kilian has been a research assistant and lecturer at the Chair of Information Science at the University of Regensburg since 2016 and has also been a doctoral student there since 2018. Her teaching takes place, among other things, in the field of information philosophy and interview analysis using grounded theory.

Jens Schwarzbach has been a W2 professor for biomedical imaging at the University of Regensburg since 2015. The focus of his events is in the field of clinical and cognitive neurosciences. He is also working on a project on neurofeedback and machine learning in MR imaging.

Manuel Ullmann has been a research assistant at the Chair of Information Science at the University of Regensburg from 2013 to 2020. As part of his research, the URWalking pedestrian navigation system was further developed. With the associated web app, destinations on campus, such as lecture halls or offices, can be selected.

Selina Meyer has been a research assistant at the Chair of Information Science at the University of Regensburg since March 2020. The focus of her events is on information science and digital humanities. In her exercises, she focuses on practical application of the theoretical contet from the associated lectures.

Since 2007 Claudio Lottaz Ph.D. has been research assistant and principal investgator at the Chair of Statistical Bioinformatics of the Institute for Functional Genomics at the Department of Medicine of the University of Regensburg. In his research he concentrates on modern sequencing technologies.

Prof. Dr. Niels Henze has been a professor at the Chair of Media Informatics since May 2018. His research focuses on different facets of human-computer interaction. In particular, he examines the use of predictive models in interactive systems and how models can be used and treined at runtime. Other focal points are the areas of mobile human-computer interaction, augmented & virtual reality and the consideration of attention through interactive systems.

Jürgen Hahn has been a research assistant at the Chair for Media Informatics at the University of Regensburg since 2017. After completing his bachelor’s degree in media informatics, he worked alongside his master’s degree as a tutor for the courses entertainment computing, game engineering and digitization and digital society. His research interests lie in the areas of human computer interaction, image processing and MR / AR systems.

Since the end of 2004 Prof. Dr. Bernhard Dotzler is Full Professor of Media Studies at the Institute for Information and Media, Language and Culture (I: IMSK) at the University of Regensburg. His research focuses on IT history / history of computing, archeology of media (theory), media and science history (media & science), literature and media and advertising research.

Alexander Frummet has been a research assistant at the Chair of Information Science at the University of Regensburg since 2018. In addition to his Bachelor and Master studies in Regensburg, he worked as a student and research assistant at the Chair for Information Sciences. His research interests are “Conversational Search” and “Natural Language Understanding”.

Maximilian Nagl has been a research assistant at the Chair of Statistics and Risk Management at the University of Regensburg since 2018. Before that, he did his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration in Regensburg. His research focuses on the application of Bayesian statistics, machine learning in risk management and the assessment of credit risk.

Felix Lennert is Research Assistant at the Professorship of Political Science of the University of Regensburg. He has taught courses on Social Network Analysis, “Big Data Analysis” (i.e., data wrangling and analysis in R, and how social scientific scholars harness “new” online data for answering “old” questions), and “classic” quantitative methods (i.e., regression).

Robert Jackermeier is a research fellow at the Chair of Information Science at the University of Regensburg. His courses focus particularly on the topic of data analysis and visualization. For example, he is in charge of the course “Analyzing and Visualizing with Python” for students of the Digital Humanities Masters course. In addition to his teaching, he is responsible for improving and developing the campus navigation URwalking .

Prof. Dr. Andreas Schäfer is physics professor at the University of Regensburg. There he heads his own chair and specializes in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), which can be assigned to the field of Theoretical Particle Physics. For students he offers Bachelor and Master theses on AI applications, especially on personalized Medicine or data analysis.

Prof. Dr. Mark W. Greenlee has been working at the Chair of Experimental Psychology and Methodology since 2003. His field of responsibility includes General Psychology and Methodology. His courses focus on the area of human perception and cognition.

Martin Kocur has been a research assistant at the Chair of Media Informatics at the University of Regensburg since 2018. His teaching includes the subjects “Game Engineering”, “Multimedia Technology”, “Advanced Software Engineering” and programming with Android.

Dr. Friedrich Wünsch is a research assistant at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Regensburg. As IT coordinator, he is responsible for the organization and teaching of numerous IT courses of the Faculty of Physics.

Prof. Dr. Christina Bauer studied Information Science at the University of Regensburg until the end of 2012. After completing her master’s degree, she worked as research assistant at the Chair for Information Science. After her dissertation she left the University of Regensburg in 2018 to gain experience in the private sector. On October 1st, 2020 she was appointed professor for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Teaching at the TH Deggendorf.

Prof. Dr. Volberg is employed at the Chair of General Psychology I and Methodology, which is assigned to the Institute of Psychology. There he gives various bachelor and master courses. In his research he focuses on visual neuroscience and new techniques of electroencephalogram (EEG) analysis. In two current projects he is working on the one hand with the neural mechanisms of contour integration and on the other hand with grapheme-color synesthesia.

Prof. Dr. Melanie Walter-Rogg has been a professor at the University of Regensburg since 2011. There she teaches Political and Social Science. The methods of the two subjects are in particular focus, which also includes the areas of Big Data and Machine Learning.

Maximilian Wittig has been a research assistant at the Chair of Business Informatics IV at the University of Regensburg since 2020. During his studies he worked already as a student assistant at the same chair. In his current position at the university, in addition to overseeing theses, P-seminars and theoretical seminars, he is also teaching algorithms, data structures, (object-oriented) programming and the security of mobile systems.

Felix Geyer works as a student assistant at the Chair of Empirical Economics. At the same time he is engaged at the Chair of Econometrics at the University of Regensburg. In his courses, he teaches students the basics to understand Machine Learning algorithms as well as how to develop and apply them on their own.

Stefan Hartinger is a master’s student in physics at the University of Regensburg. Before starting his master, he already completed a bachelor’s degree in physics – also in Regensburg. In addition to his studies, he teaches other students the basics of programming. He focuses on the languages C and Python.

Prof. Dr. Angelika Lingnau has held the Chair of Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Regensburg since the end of 2018. In this position, she mainly teaches the students of the master’s course in ‘Psychology’. There she focuses in particular on the topics: ‘Cognitive Neuroscience of Perception and Action’, ‘Cognitive Neuroscience of Social Vision’ and ‘Machine Learning in Neuroscience’.
