Interview with Dr. Friedrich Wünsch

Dr. Friedrich Wünsch is a research assistant at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Regensburg. As IT coordinator, he is responsible for the organization and teaching of numerous IT courses of the Faculty of Physics. The courses of the IT training of the Faculty of Physics impart the basics in a wide variety of areas. The spectrum of courses is very broad and includes, for example, the topics hardware, Linux, web development and programming.

AI will find its way into all areas of our life. However, major developments have yet to be done. Machine learning, for example, is still far too flawed – the algorithms have to become much more intelligent.
I practically no longer do research myself, but work in research support of all kinds. I used to research to Machine Learning and developed also hardware for it

I think the initiative is very good; it is/was especially necessary in times before the Faculty of Computer Science was established
